I'll pay anything for the peace and solitude of riding my Harley.&nbsp\\; Can't get that anywhere else.

It is starting to pinch me a bit as I'm on a fixed income (retired). I had planned on a trip to Texas, but my wife put her foot down. THAT was the reason I'm not going, not gas prices. I had saved up the money to go. Now, I'll just putt around here more.

We had planned on a trip either to Sturgis or Washington state for this summer.&nbsp\\;But due to&nbsp\\;the necessity to make three trips to San Antonio from Tucson already this year, we have pretty much blown the fuel budget.&nbsp\\; The crashing stock market hasn't helped either.&nbsp\\; But at least we don't have to commute any more.&nbsp\\; Those of you that do are really in for a tough summer.&nbsp\\;

If I do any, it'll be on my '82 FXE.&nbsp\\; 60+ MPG every time.&nbsp\\; Maybe the Grand Canyon.

Ya'll have a safe summer,

still planning to leave the pgh pa area to go to mt rushmore on 7-2-08. i figure the gas for my ultra plus other increased prices due to the gas situation will raise the cost of this vacation about $500-600. i'll cut back on some of the spending money to cover about 1/3 of that &amp\\; just have to find the rest of the money somewhere else. planning on meeting friends at mt rushmore on 7-4-08 then traveling around the north west. plan on seeing the badlands, glacier nat.pk, yellowstone, cody wy, little bighorn &amp\\; even going as far west as ritzville wa for thier annual blue festival on 7-12-08. anyone that knows the great roads to ride out there i'd appriciate a heads up.
