The wife and i were planning on&nbsp\\;driving from &nbsp\\;N.E. PA and going to Mt. Rushmore in July but that plan was put on hold. I really want to see it but I guess it isn't going to happen this year!

6/30 leave Maine for Louisianna by way of the Blue Ridge (again), Deal's Gap (again), Cherohola, Fla panhandle, gulf coast to Louisianna, Natchez Trace, Memphis to see Elvis, York PA&nbsp\\;to tour Harley again, couple days in NY then home to Maine.&nbsp\\; I'll give up something else before I give up the bike trips (no Jimmy Buffett concerts this summer for me&nbsp\\;).&nbsp\\; Hopefully there will be less traffic this year due to gas cost.&nbsp\\; This trip will finally color the last 2 states on my map (continental 48 on the same Harley).&nbsp\\; The plan is, after this bike gets all 48, I buy a new one and start over...

Oak Harbor is awesome.

I wonder what the gas prices will do to all the toyhaulers going to Sturgis this year. Ya know, the 60' + battleships with 40' trailers?

I've decided to just park the truck as much as possible and ride the bike everywhere.&nbsp\\; That inlcudes trips.&nbsp\\; I already made one trip from South Carolina to Indiana, and I plan to make that trip on my bike again next month.&nbsp\\; It's just cheaper on a bike.

We're fortunate enough to be able to take a trip this year, in the cage (wife travels and shops heavy), from Cornwall, ON to Memphis, TN (tour Graceland ) then onto Pigeon Forge, TN (Dollywood, Gatlinburg&nbsp\\;and Tail Of The Dragon drive) then back home...TTL app. 3000mi.
&nbsp\\;
Regular unleaded gas here today&nbsp\\;is $1.32/L ($5.94 Gal.).&nbsp\\; We know that gasoline in the U.S. will be a bit cheaper although your gallon is a bit smaller than ours but with the price/gal. being what it is&nbsp\\;we expect perhaps a little less traffic on the&nbsp\\;roads&nbsp\\;and more choice of&nbsp\\;lodgings.
&nbsp\\;
I know it's not going to be gas&nbsp\\;cheap by any means but this trip to Graceland is a once in a lifetime thing for my wife so, ya were going.
&nbsp\\;

I am not going to let this rain on my parade. I am taking my money from Uncle George and I plan on spending it on my trip around Nova Scotia. Screw it!!!

The price of fuel along with meals is still cheaper than therapy/counceling
at $180 / hour.
We will continue to do as many day trips through out New England
with an occassional overnighter thrown in for good measure.

May have to sacrafice the jelly on my pb &amp\\; j samwiches....
but thats a small price to pay to afford gas to ride
