You can wire it up either way - I used to run my fronts from the radio and lowers from the Hogtunes amp, but the amp sounds much better than the stock radio and has tons more bass. So now I have fronts and lowers plus some extra tweeters all powered by the amp and it's terrific.

I have 6 speakers - 2 in batwing faring, 2 in lower faring....4 speakers, all driven by the amp
