hard bags rubbing seat
Just put on a set of hard bags I purchased, they are off a o8 roadking,my ride is a 07 roadking custom, they are a tight fit the front inner tips of the lid rubs the seat (more on the left side then the right) the rail support does not have any adjustment as far as I can see, any suggestion?

RE: hard bags rubbing seat
Did the same thing on my bike from the factory, rubbed the paint right off the bag lid's and wore a hole in the seat. Took the bike back and made them repaint the lid's and give me a new seat. New seat did the same thing so I \\;installed a Mustang seat, took the stock P.O.S seat back to the dealer. They said they couldn't do anymore for me, bike had to many miles on it, I told them I don't \\;give a Flying F&\\;^K how many miles are on it, it \\;has a two year unlimited mileage warranty, now fix it. \\;They gave me another new seat then I went out in to their parking lot, \\;poured liter fluid on it and lit it on fire. That made me feel \\;a lot better. *** Holes !!!!!!!!!!!

Hard Bags Rubbing Seat
If I was to buy a new seat, what touring seat could I buy that would be narrow enough to not rub?? Thanks

I had this problem too. I have a 2007 Road King Custom that has hard bags instead of the leather. There is less space on the frame, so with hard bags the front corners of the bag lids will rub against the stock seat. I went to the stealer and looked at the Road King Sundowner seat. They had one in stock, so I had my bike there and put it on. There is about 1/4 inch clearance space at the corners of the saddlebag lids with the Road King Sundowner seat, while the stock seat was rubbing there. With me sitting on the bike and compressing the seat, the left side does not touch and the right side just barely touches. I bought the seat because for me it feels better than the stock one anyway. I think if you tried other seats like the Badlander you might even get more space.
