Default Planning a Trip South.........

Planning on leaving June 16 from Minnesota.&nbsp\\; Going alone, longest trip prior to this was 1800 mile trip by myself on a honda.&nbsp\\; Anyway, got an 03 King&nbsp\\;this year and itching to go.&nbsp\\; I have 12 days off and not real destination, but planning to go thru Arkansaw to the Ozarks, then to sw texas to around big bend nat'l park, then prob head back north, depending on time, thru New Mexico and colorado.&nbsp\\; Any feedback about any "can't miss" things along the way, namely in Arkansaw, NM, and Colorado?&nbsp\\; Any other advice on travel, etc too.

3 weeks and only 1800 miles, are you walking? If you are heading that way go through Ruidoso NM.

If you hear banjo music, move out of that area, really fast.

not sure about big bend this time of year. the heat can be overwhelming and ruin what you want to be a good ride. all of nw ark. and up and down the ark.-ok. border is good riding. the texas hill country is a must see. cloudcroft-ruidoso n.m. then to the enchanted circle around taos and across northern n.m. to durango,co. and then the southern rockies would all be good and it would keep you out of the extreme heat for the most part. trust me there is a big differance between minn. and west texas is june.
