Default Tire for my Ultra

Need to order a new tire for the back of my 02 Ultra today. Should I stay with the Dunlap 402 or shuld I try the Dunlap E 3. Am leaning toward the E3,&nbsp\\; just to try something new. Any ideas?

I have had really good luck with the 402's.&nbsp\\; I average over 10k for the rear tire and over 20 on the front without hitting the wearbars.

I put a Avon 140 on the rear and a 130 on the front of my 03 Ultra this week, they look a lot different than the Dunlops and are really quiet, suppose to be great in the rain. I guess time will tell. Gary

Whatever you decide I'd match the front tire to the rear...&nbsp\\; If you change to a E3 on the rear, put one on the front also..&nbsp\\;

I put on a Metz 880 and at almost 10,000 miles it looks new and handles like a rail rain or dry.

I run Metzlers because of my riding style and because i've tried other over the past years. Tires choice depends on a lot of factors......My suggestion would be to try a few other brands to find what is right for you.....just my $.02...............

Asks for advise instead of looking at 10,000 tire posts........ 3 hours later ordered tires.

woke up face down in a cheap motel
had a King James Bible and a musty smell
and a Jim Beam bottle layin in the bed
with a lipstick note that said - thanks for the head.
Love, Bubba
