I had mustang solo on 08 Streetglide and it is the same height as the stock seat. It didn't seem any closer to the tank though.
Mustang had said that for the touring bikes that the seat was an inch lower than stock but I think that is just for electraglide since the stock seat is higher than the SG.

I have the seat you are asking about.&nbsp\\; My experience has been the same as JBs.&nbsp\\; I put in on in Feb&nbsp\\; so it's got about 6-7k on it and I just noticed I reach the ground easier.&nbsp\\; One thing I hated about the stock seat was the rear "ski jump"&nbsp\\; made my tailbone hurt after about 50 miles.&nbsp\\; The Mustang has two flat surfaces meeting without the curved transition, if you understand what I'm saying.
&nbsp\\;
Mustang goes to most major rallies and will put one on your bike for you to sit test ( not ride).&nbsp\\; Then you got a feel for the position.&nbsp\\; If you buy, American Classic Motors sold me mine for $100 off Mustangs price.&nbsp\\; Took him a week to ship but to me it was worth it.

&nbsp\\;
A 5 minute sit test is not a fair test for the seat.&nbsp\\; It's going to feel way too firm at first.&nbsp\\;

CIG...I want your bike man.&nbsp\\; What year/model?&nbsp\\; Beautiful look...&nbsp\\; Anyhooo, on to my new question.&nbsp\\; 07 Softail Deluxe, had the sport solo and passenger on her and think I want the WIDE vintage solo, 17.5 rider and 14 passenger, versus 14 and 11 respectively.&nbsp\\; Anyone here have the wide solo and aftermarket saddlebags on theirs?&nbsp\\; Wondering if I will have clearance trouble with opening the lids due to the extra overhang....THANKS.

Agree with jbhawley , pretty much exactly.
I have the 75449 and it's a brick when new , and breaks in nicely with miles.
Very happy with the seat.
