Default 2006 Ultra in the rain

my question to all:
How does the Ultra handle in the rain at highway and city speeds? This is my first Harley Davidson. I have an 06 Ultra Classic and have yet to get caught in the rain. The reason i ask is i used to own a BMW1200KLT this bike handled great in the rain. I see a lot of Harleys pulled over in the rain, does this bike get loose in the rain? Any comments/input welcome.

No problem with mine or my Dad's 06 Ultra's. Last year we went to Vermount and road about 1,200 miles in the rain with no problems at all. My dad just got back from a 2,000 mile trip and road about 1,000 miles of it in the rain 2 up, some of it in a heavy down pour. &nbsp\\;The folks you see hanging around under the over passes or pulled over are just the wanabe's.

Rain-x or even wax works great on the windshield. When I get cought in the rain, no sence pulling over. I am already wet. Plus, when it stops, you dry out quicker!

My 06 Ultra handles great in the rain… but if I don’t have a face shield on the rains blows straight in my eyes and I can’t see anything. I changed helmets because of it, I got caught in the rain and had to pull over because I couldn’t see a thing. Not a problem now!

Be prepared for water to come over the top of the Ultra's windshield, right into your face. Their aerodynamics suck big time.

Watch out for hail - just got caught in it yesterday in Rapid City, SD. Hail the size of ice cubes hit my bike and me, but the rain no problem Ottawa, Ontario Canada to Rapid City, SD. I have a short Klock Werks windshield that I just picked up from John (great guy) at Klock Werks&nbsp\\;in Mitchel,&nbsp\\;SD and it worked perfect compaerd to the Ultra windshield I just put on for this trip.
