My Classic handles fine in the rain, I just have to tuck myself behind the windshield so my face doesn't get blasted (I wear a half helmet).

I ride my Street Glide in the rain all the time...no problemo. The wusses on the side of the road are afraid they will melt if they get wet.....

I ride year round. This week I've been riding every day in the rain. My Ultra now has 5,300 miles. A few hundred miles ago I started feeling loss of traction around curves on very wet roads. Before that I thought those big tires and the extra weight wouldn't ever be a problem. I had the problem around here also when I had the Wide Glide, and I thought it was the skinny front tire.
I never get wet with the pull down windshield on my 3/4 helmet, and my Harley rain suit.

You do not want to put Rain X on your windshield, it will make your shield cloudy and ruin it. If you do a search, you'll find that Rain X says not to.

I have a clearview 9.5, and it&nbsp\\; works just as well&nbsp\\; in the rain as the&nbsp\\; stock&nbsp\\; 12 incher did......treated properly (wax or rain-x), and the rain just beads up and&nbsp\\; rolls off of it.
&nbsp\\;
Re riding in the rain....the Ultra just does fine.&nbsp\\; Just remember...the road&nbsp\\; is wet, so don't ride as tho you have&nbsp\\; the same traction available to you, as you do on dry pavement.

Rain is rain. Full face helmut and rain gear and not too much throttle in the corners. maybe they are pulled over to get the gear on. 5300 miles on a 06? WOW it's not even broke in yet. I got 36000 on my 06.
