Default Hi-way pegs for short riders

OK, I read the post from the guy looking for the right highway pegs for taller riders. I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum. I'm 5'3 with a 27" inseam. I ride an '08 FLHX and I'd like to put some highway pegs on it but I have no clue what ones are long enough to serve the purpose. I just want to be able to stretch out a bit. I thought about the floorboard extensions to see if moving them out would help any, but I think pegs on the crash bar would be more comfortable.

So, how bout it. Any input from the shorter riders out there who have hi-way pegs?

I am 5'8" and was never comfortable on a bike with highway pegs. I like engine guards with integrated foot rests like HD Mustache bar better.

+1 on the Longhorns...I'm 5' 9"...not short or tall but any other peg wouldn't work...if you get these, take a while to get them set...and then add a bit of Blue Loctite to the screws...I had some issues with them loosening...of course, blue loctite should be used on nearly any vital screw you use on a Harley I've learned...

Good Luck!

Most of the shorter rides put the pegs on the upper side of the crash bar. I do not think style or type really matters. It depends on the location you put them.

I'm 5'9" and had the same problem, put the Harley pegs on the outside and my feet barely reached them and would vibrate off going down the Hwy. I put Lindby bars on my Streetglide and love em.

+1 for Kuryakyn longhorns. put some HD pegs on and you can adjust both ofthem to mate up with your short shanks.
