road king back rest ?
need help finding an after market bracket to install an adjustable bacrest on a 2007 road king flhr it has a solo seat and my friend does not really want to change his seat he likes the stock solo but the parts catalog says you gotta have the slotted seat any info would be greatly appreciated since he's gettin ready to do a long trip next month.

I don't think you'll find anything that he'd like the looks of. A backrest (especially an adjustable) has got to have some sort of receptacle, mounted firmly. All the HD and aftermarket rests use large ugly metal pedestals to accept the post of the rest....and they're meant to be covered by a slotted 2-up seat. The only other option is buying a seat with a socket and receptacle built into the seat pan, like the Mustangs.
