That is great. My wife made the same choice 2 years ago. She rode on my bike for 13 years and decided she wanted to try her own bike. We found a 2004 Sportster with 158 miles on it! She sat on it and loved the feel. She could not get into a course with her work schedule so her learning was riding behind me. After a year and 5,000+ miles behind me she got her license and has been riding everywhere she can. She has almost 11,000 miles on it in 2 years. Not bad for a beginner. She loves it and I love the fact I could make mine into a solo ride.

My wifes first bike was a $400 metric I picked up.Then I painted it for he so it looked a bit better.She rode that for a year then she took the course after a season of riding.After that I picked her up a used Sporty and completely redid that for her.She loves to ride and gets allot of people ask her about her bike makes her feel good.

Indeed dc... she loves riding on my RG and out of the blue, she mentioned it one day. She's planning to ride to work daily a save on gas as well lol.

 

Thanks Chuck.. she can't wait and been reading mags for days shopping already. Once she get's the class under her belt, she's got the bike here to jump right on and go. We live in a quiet area so plenty of places to practice.
