Something does not sound right here, could you please re-post when you find out what they had to do for the repair, I do not understand why the speedo would kill the bike, or is it in the harness?? Tim

No or bad signal from the vss will give you every symptom you describe here including the signals.

Havehadmy 2008 Ultra 2 months 4300 miles and Saturday night look down and speedomotor shows 0 MPH and I'm in 5th gear. Pull in clutch to stop at light and engine dies. Rolled into gas station and she fires right back up. No other problems since then. Turn signals sre canceling corretly. So what is going on? Let us know if you find out anything else DZLDR.

xcelr8 - I don't have any discoloration where yours is showing, only some where there is no heat shield by my right side floorboard. I just washed it on Saturday and there was none at that time.
