Default Body-colored inner fairing....cool or waste of money?

Purely opinion....is the body-colored inner fairing cool or just a waste of money? On one hand, pretty tough looking, on the other hand, it reminds me of those young punks with the import compact cars and the loud garbage-can-shaped mufflers boom-booming down the road with the interior of their ride painted with body-colored accents......any takes on this subject? Thanks

I like it on all the bikes except for the Bright Yellow. Too much. I like the yellow on the sheet metal and outer fairing but not on the inner fairing.

I just had my 05 Ultra inner fairing painted Lave Red. I believe it not only looks better, it certainly is easier to keep clean as oppsed to that flat black stock finish. My bud's all like it and I got a "wow, way cool" from the ladies.

Here's a peek although I'm still finishing my winter project

Thanks for the input....I think it looks good. My bike is Black Pearl....it would be a nice subtle addition now that I see your bike as an example...Take care.

I agree if you get it from Harley. I had mine done at a custom shop. Paint was more than the labor. But that's because we ordered the paint from Harley. You should be able to get it done for under $200.

Put mine on last week, custom painted, metallic vivid black, one of the best mods I have made. Posted a pic in the thread. Really gives a custom look to your ride. Put on the new chrome radio/gauge surround today, will post a pic tomorrow of the completed dash and controls.

Saw it on a yellow Screaming Eagle Electra Glide and thought it was too much. Then saw it on a red bike and a black bike and thought it looked pretty cool. All a matter of opinion I guess.

That's the only way to go. I brought the paint from HD and I'm have a local paint shop spray it for me. For the paint and the gloss it cost me 103.67 and to spray it costing me 100 bucks
