new inner fairing pad
Has anyone installed the new inner fairing pad that mounts just under the windshield. Leather with a chrome visor over it. I think it must bolt on. I have seen it on the new screaman eagle ultra. Has anyone seen it on a stock inner fairing that is not painted? How do you like it?. Let me know what you guy's think, Thanks Steve

RE: new inner fairing pad
I put one on my bike last year. I like it, although my inner Fairing is painted Vivid Black.
I have the HD 3 pouch windsheild bag that I only use on trips. You will need to drill 2 holes in the inner fairing so it is a comitement. My vote is go for it.

RE: new inner fairing pad
Removeing the inner fairing is a big job. I did it when I had the front end apart for chrome front end.So there wasn't any extra labour. Took it to a local body shop . Some of my friends like it some don't fkm. And no I don't have the fairing mount mirrors, at least not yet .

RE: new inner fairing pad
I don't find the dashboard tacky at all on my Ultra, it's looks right at home to me,
however, I'd never try to put it on my Heritage Springer. lol
I installed the dash pad on my '03 Ultra. Drilled two holes using the H-D templets. Piece of cake, but I must admit, I was a bit cautious after seeing that 1/2" holes needed to be drilled through my freshly painted inner fairing.
Because I've had the 3 bag pouch on this and other bikes, kind of got used to the convenience. But found that it didn't fit well with the oversized dark smoked wind deflector (the ends of the 2 outer bags hung over the side of the shield). So I cut the 2 outside bags off with tin snips then filed the rough edge and marked the cut edge with perminent black. I also stuck on the soft side of velcro to the bottom to help prevent rattle and or scratching to the dash. Now I just have 1 bag (the center bag) about 6 inches long. I like it! I don't think I would have trimed off the outer pouches if I had left the 12" windshield but with the dark wind deflecter shield all is good.
