I am staying at Gatlinburg Falls Resort. This place is really sweet. 1 bedroom that sleeps 8. Plenty big enough for the wife and I. Got here Friday and been riding all around today. Gatlinburg to Maryville to Foothills Parkway then down to Cades Cove and back to Gatlinburg. The weather was perfect today and hope for more on Sunday for a ride down 441 with a stop at Clingmans Dome then down to Cherokee to Bryson City and on to Cherohala Skyway and back. Saving the Dragon for Monday for a little less traffic. I love the roads up here and the people are great. Gonna be hard to go home.

07yellowglide - I saw you as well - couldn't mistake your bike! I saw you ride by me at some time during the day, just can't remember where. Small world, huh?

Nice write up! I did the same ride a few weeks ago. I just can't get enough of that area and feel blessed to only be a couple hours away. I did the Cherohola in the clouds as well!

PJ love the pictures and from the looks of it you had a great time. Hopefully on Million Mile Monday, our chapter is heading that way up through Blue Ridge, Cherokee, Townsend, Foothills Parkway and back down 411 for home in Cartersville. So many roads and so little time.

Thanks for the suggestions John. The wife and I just spent the weekend riding all over that area. We stayed at the Cherohala MC resort thursday night 7/17 and were pleasantly surprised, those are some nice people and the facility is very well kept. We plan to go back when we can stay longer. Thanks again for the write up. Cant get pics to load or I would share as well.
