PJ, thanks for the pics and write-up--will be making a daytrip up there in a couple of weeks with some friends.
Ron, hope you and your wife have a great trip. Cherohala Skyway has about 2K' of elevation change along the way and it is noticeable--adds to the adventure since we don't see that kind of change much in the SE. Be sure to start the Skyway with plenty of gas 'cause there aren't any gas stations on it.
Fontana Dam is a worthwhile part of riding near Deals Gap.

Nice write up and pics Pastor. Me and the wife will be down there in a couple of weeks. We'll be staying in Robbinsville NC. Plan on doing the Dragon, Cherahola, Foothills, GSM National Park, and the Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley before we head back north via the BRP. I'd rather ride my bike than take a Carnival Cruise anyday.
