In my opinion, I have always liked the "beefy" front tire look on baggers. The 18" still keeps that look. If I were in your position and thinking about spending money on another rim, I would have to go with a matching rear rim. I know there are many who say" you can`t see the rear rim". But for me it would have to match. I would see it and have to match the front.

Cant have one tire in the gold mine and the other in the trailer park. Make'em match and keep the 18's... My vote anyway.
