Oil weep on Street Glide

Oil weep on Street Glide
I just bought a new 08 Street Glide a few weeks back. I noticed at around 100 miles I was getting a dark area at the bottom of the rear cylinder. I now have about 400 miles on it and the dark spot has gotten larger. I ran it by the dealer the other day and they said it was possibly a cylinder gasket leak or it could be from assembly and they would have to tear the top end downand check it. I don't really like the idea of my new bike all tore down.Has anyone experienced this same type of problem? I did see in the CVO forums that itiscommon on the 110" enginesbetween 3k and 6k miles. Thanks!

RE: Oil weep on Street Glide
I have a friend with 08 Ultra Classic and he had the same problem. The actual cases are weeping. He had to have his brand new bike torn down also but they got it fixed and he hasn't had anymore problems with it. It's not just the big engines that this is happening too. Take it back and get it fixed and you will be happy once again.
