I have one of the Tune Trappers on my 04 EG Classic and I have no complaints.
I use my MP3 player most of the time but when everI do switch to the radio be it
for music or weather, I get good reception. I do notice that I need to switch the radio from
local(LO) to distant(DX) as appropriate though. But that is nothing more than the push of a button.

I added the tour pak to my RG and for looks wnated two antenna's. I put on the J&M's which my local dealer carried as their short antenn's and I have to say the my standard RG antenna worked much better. I have stations coming in and out all the time now. I may take both J&M's off and put on my single RG antenna and just put some plastic over the second antenna location threads where the CB antenna goes since I don't have or use one. Just my .02 on the difference.

FYI, after I removed the CD whip, I went the Ace Hardware and bought a 3/8 inch chrome spacer and a chrome acorn nut to cap off the post where the antenna was.

Another vote for the J&M short ones. They look and work great.

Thanks all. I went to the dealer and they cheerfully put a new one one for free. Guess I'll stick with the whips for now.
