Default Road Glide riding comfort

I've got a '07 Road Glide (I know, they're ugly...). I had the extended foot controls installed, but my legs still get cramped up after riding for awhile cuz my bootsbump up against the brake pedal/shifter (I'm 6'4").Has anyone had luck with doing something with the floorboards, like moving them out to the side? I have highway pegs, but only use them on the slab.

Ugly? I would sell it if you think that. Tons of us like them! I would buy a different bike that fits you and that you like.

I am not nearly as tall as you, so this may not help, but I always position my highway pegs low enough on the engine guard so I can rest my heel on the floowboard and by toes on the highway pegs... for me thats just about the most comfortable riding position there is...

I said the 'ugly' comment tongue-in-cheek. There seem to be a lot of folks (including many on the HD forum) that comment about the bad looks. I love the bike...

Hey Vailtl,
When you say you have the extenders, do you mean that the floorboards were extended out to the side (vs. forward)? Thx...

I am 6'1". I bought the floor board extenders (moves your feet away/out from the pipe) and also the extended brake (EZ Brake) and shifter lever. Also, like the other said, you gotta get some nice hiway pegs. You will have plenty of room after that. Gotta do it!

Bought mine from these guys- http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.asp

Look at my bike and where my foot brake and shifter levers are compared to your stock location. They are moved out/infront of the board. No more lifting your foot up/back to hit the brake.

I moved the boards forward an inch, and used Soos extenders to move them out 3/4 of an inch. works for me.
