I've "heard" that those deer whistles don't do anything.&nbsp\\; I didn't see the study myself, but I "heard" there was one done by a company with a large fleet that put whistles on some vehicles and not others and did a proper statistical analysis on it and came up with "waste of money."&nbsp\\; But, if it makes you feel better, go for it.

Some Sturgis friends of ours from Colorado hit an elk on the way into deadwood on a Softtail.&nbsp\\; She got killed and he was messed up.&nbsp\\; I like looking at the deer in my yard, but I don't get upset when people cap them either after one stole&nbsp\\;the right side mirror on my Corolla one morning.&nbsp\\; I figger he's out there wandering the woods with it stuck in his 8 point antlers looking for hunters sneaking up behind him.

 

Glad to hear you and the wife will be OK. I went down a few years ago and luckilly I just ended up with roadrash.

 

The main thing is you two are going to be ok.

 

Deer whistles don't work from the test threads I've read. Loud pipes can't be beat!
