Knowexactly how you feel. Just made a deal to trade mine for a Road King Custom.

 

Keeping the Lowrider and adding a RoadGlide to the family......

 

Traded in my 2003 FXDL for my 2006 FLHTCI. Have basically turned it into a Street Glide, and don't miss the Low Rider other than the fact it was a great looking and riding bike, just in a different class. I thought maybe I would get tired of the batwing in front of me, but the tunes blow me away, and the stress the batwing takes off the body makes long day trips or a long day of riding much easier. It also extends my riding season earlier in the spring and later in the fall!

I did the same thing with my 03 Lowrider... but afterI rodeaway with the Ultra.. no regrets

 

I upgraded from an FXDL to an FLHX two weeks ago! My only regret is I should have purchased the FLHX in the first place. I wish the FLHX came in Suede Blue Pearl/Vivid Black. That is an awesome color combo! Since the SG doesn't come in that color combo, I got the next best color: Vivid Black!

PS-I rode from Ft. Bragg North Carolina to Ft. Rucker Alabama in about ten hours. 620 miles all at one shot. I am only slightly sore from the trip. I love the Street Glide!

 

My .02 is that Vivid Black is the way to go. The RK is also VB. I'll probably end up making a Street Glide out of it anyway.

 

Thinking actually been thinking alot about trading 02 fatboy for either roadking or street glide.Just havent got over the fence on which.

 

+1 Traded my Fat boy for SG....like you some emotion with it at first....Until 100 miles on the SG not even looking back now....Just hope someone is loving the old bike as much as I did, and that it...... DO IT!
