Great little fab job. I like the way it nests into the pouches, looks like it belongs there.

That looks like the perfect position for it and a good strong mount.
Great Job

Thanks Mike

The key to the idea was getting the zumo off of the ram arm, as close to the pouch as possible for less vibration. And also getting the whole inner fairing area one level so everything could be clamped down real tight. Once that was accomplished the vibration at idle that others have experienced with this position was gone cuz the gps is "one with the fairing", and only vibrates as it does. At speed the L bracket vibrated some on it's own, necessitating the extra tension bracket placed inside the original to keep them from vibrating further. Thankfully that worked like a charm and it's very smooth all the time.

Hope that helps

Someone emailed me and asked what the 2 bottom brackets were for so I put together this very simple and very not to scale drawing of the way my mount sandwiches together. By getting the inner really solid the zumo acts just like one of the gauges and is real smooth with very little vibration. Hope this helps.

Looks good, I may borrow some of your ideas when I get mine, can't wait for it to get here.

Hmm, might be a business opportunity. Design and market a pouch with a built in mount...

I'm getting ready for a Zumo install, any chance of re-posting the pics?

Also, I'd like to put a Zumo 660 on my 2011 Street Glide.

I can't put it on the sides of the Batwing fairing, as that's where my two tweeters will go.

I like the idea of using the Zumo mounting cradle (that has the clip-on cover when the actual 660 unit is not being used).

Can the Zumo cradle be mounted in the center of the Batwing, in between the speedo & tach?

Thanks
