Putting around town I will cheat and not wear my jacket. On the highway it is full gear (well counting jeans ), I went down atspeed about15 years ago, did a tight roll as I came off the bike, andthe only thing that saved my sorry butt was my heavy bomber's jacket. The arms were shredded and the back was a solid case of road rash, I kept that in my closet for many years to remind me of how close I came.

 

I should wear more protective gear but I've been known to ride in shorts, tank top and tennis shoes...

Always full gear, gear varies depending on temps, bull always full gear!

 

I generally dress for the wreck. Sometimes I cheat though. In the hottest weather I have a hard time donning the leather. When I ride to the golf course, a few miles from my house, I cheat on the boots. Always a helmet though.

 

I never wear pants.

Get some strange looks sometimes though.

 

Leather motorcycle jacket (traditional style with the double layer flaps over the chest), steel-toed engineer's boots, gloves, silk scarf (either around my neck or on my head depending on temp) and Levi's. If the temp goes over 90 I might take off the jacket. Then it's t-shirt, Levi's, boots and gloves. My helmet varies with my mood, from the ridiculous beanie style to a full-face flip-front vented helmet. Anyone riding passenger with me has to wear a helmet, full length pants and shoes or boots.

 

I'm with you...ATGATT....I (always) wear a FF helmet, Above ankle boots, Draggn' Jeans w/kevlar, armored jacket (Leather w/ armorin spring, fall, winter & textile w/vents and armor in Summer), padded gloves.....Always....no exceptions....To each his own....If that makes me goofy so be it.....But I don't ever want to be saying "I wish I had......."

When I'm riding to work in the Texas summer, I dress for work, not the ride. Khakis, oxfords and polo shirt. I always wear a helmet.

It's only 8 miles, and I rarely get above 30 MPH.
