Default Got my Pro Pipe...standard or comp baffle?

Well, I'm officially a Pro Pipe owner as of today after trading some Thunderheader slipons for it...Won't get her on till next week sometime. It's a BP model with the standard baffle...are any of you Pro Pipe users runningwith the competition baffle, and if sowhat are the sound/performance differences? My buddy that was running this pipe on his 07 SERoad Kingwas making big power with the way it is now, over 100hp/100 tq...

If you got the BP version, there is no baffle option!. You get what you got and thats its.
Even if there were an option, the comp baffle if no a good one.

I don't seeanything on the V&H site about them, but J&P has listed with the BP Pro Pipe a replacement standard baffle and a competition baffle...???

I don't know much about the newer BP edition of the pipes, but the older ones came with the 'torque' baffle and were recommended to anyone not running at least 103" with heads and higher compression from several pro wrenches on various forums. Runnning with the comp baffle consistently produces a mid range torque dip that you need considerable cubic inches to fill.

What I have heard about the new BP pipes is the new standard baffle is different from the old and MUCH more restrictive...meaning they don't perform nearly as well as the older versions of the pipe. A skilled tuner may have 'tricks' to modify the baffle, but otherwise just be happy with the fact that you will not see the pipes blueing.

I'm all about torque...When I held up the canister half to check out the baffle, it has a plate in there with a hole in the middle and holes around the edge...It is removable for more sound, but then performance may suffers. Guess I can try her both ways...it sounded pissed on the SE King, so I'm hopin for the same
