Yeah, with that much power you have to rebuild the bottom as well. With major improvements to the top end you better strengthen the bottom end or you risk catastrophic failure. A lot of people are going to chain final drive on the big builds as well. I know one guy who couldn't keep a belt on his bike, but he had a Pro Charger....

Default Dyno Baggers

103 dyno
I'm running stock pistons and heads, changed air cleaner, tuner and installed fuel moto reaper cams 543 intake and 553 exhaust. 2012 Electra Glide Limited. Gutted cat stock gutted mufflers. Start of dyno session at Smith Brothers Johnson City Tenn. 87 H.P. 97 F.P.T. running very lean. End results 103H.P. and 111 F.P.T.

This is a 103? I would like to see the dyno sheet as well. The final numbers look really high to me for basically just a cam change and tune on a 103.

Longridetx I hear what your say'n but it is attainable if the combo comes together along with a good tune, I wouldn't have thought though gutted stock mufflers would do those numbers but still like to see the sheet just the same.

Definitely qualifies for the term, "budget build", eh?

Default 103 dyno

I really need to replace those gutted pipes to bring my torque curve back down to around 2000 R.P.M., but I'm going to run it this season and see if I like it. I wanted to see what we could do without spending a fortune on heads and pistons. been there and done that before.

Roeders Racing say that 100hp is easily attainable with cams, tune and pipes with the stock 103... They got mine to 87hp with pipe and a tune..

Default 100 HP with Pipe & Tune

I think that's tough, but cams make a huge difference. I have a 103 with a full Stage IV race kit, heads, cams, pistons, pushrods, 58mm throttle body, injectors, SE Pro tuner and I got 104 HP & 102 TQ...that's real numbers, not with the tuner sitting on the bike or a manipulated drum...a Stage 1 build will sure open up a stock bike, but you're not going to get triple digit numbers without the cams...
