DYNO Numbers for Baggers???
#2693
If I had somebody to rush a dyno on my bike I would be very, very, upset.
Between a couple pulls you need to let the bike cool down before you make another pull
And the more of a build you have on a bike the more time you need.
There are a lot of cells to look at and I would also want them to look at the fuel, timin and afr's across the board on both front and rear cylinder..
I would want to see if it had the maxium HP and torque for the way the bike is.
If you try to make too many pulls when its hot you might not git it there.
Would want to make sure it starts and idles right.
When you git it dynoed you also need to look at if for fuel milage too.
And on a TBW bike I would want them to look at throttle positing and more.
Had a good dyno dude to dyno my bike. We started at 8:00am and he dynoed it till 2:30
I was charged 250.00

They lost money on you for sure. They obviously have a flat rate but that is like starting from scratch.

People get to caught up in how long a dyno should take. There are many more variables than just time the main thing is how close of a starting MAP the operator starts with. We do alot of build that are the same, so if I start with a tuned MAP from a previously tuned identical set up bike, the tune is done alot quicker with alot less wear and tear put on the bike. Now if someone comes in and has a completely differn't build, it will absolutely take longer. Operator ability comes into play as well, a good operator that is fluent with the software and can nail the throttle positions will get the job done alot more efficiently.

Decided to go to Hemrick Performance (NC) for my tune when I get back. Anyone have any objections?

2011 Street Glide 103:
SE Pro Tuner
255 cams
Python True Duels
SE intake
84.98 Max HP and 108.96 Max Torque.
Runs SO much better after a REAL tuner got his hands on it. My dealer's tune was 78.6 on the HP and 98.6 on the Torque. Gone is the lean conditions, the running HOT and backfire on decel. Very happy with it now.
