Default SE Street Performance Slip on's NOTHING else, anyone??

As the title of the thread says, I am interested in anyone that may have installed these on there bike: Screamin' Eagle Street Perfromance Slip On's http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

I am looking for a little bit more sound that stock but not LOUD. Just a deeper HD sound. I plan on doing NOTHING else to the bike other than slip ons. I want to leave it all stock and stick with the SE pipes since they are covered under the 2 year Warr no matter what dealer I go to. I have heard that with the SE slip on's they truly do not need anything else done to the bike such as SERT or Fuel Managment done to the bike. I actually called HD directly and aske them and they said that the "new" SE slip ons are the ONLY pipes you can just slip on a ride with NO other adjustments to be made and are covered if anything should go wrong with them or the bike while the bike is under warranty.

For those of you that have done what I would like to do any feedback or thoughts would be great. Are you happy? Bike still run as good as it does while stock pipes were one?. Anything?.

Thanks!!

T

Your Bike will sound alittle better, and will run a little bit better.

I know you said NOTHING, but.... I did the HD SE Air Cleaner and download, and am very happy, slightly more sound and power. You might want to consider it as well.

On my '08 RK I had the dealer put on the SE slipons, SE AC and stage 1 download. This setup was a little better sounding than what the stock bike had, but not as loud as I wanted. I just now bought V&H basic slipons, which sound a lot better to me. I seem to have some fuel level issues right now, but I've got a Fuel Pack coming to set the fuel mixture correctly.

I have the SE slip on's, but I have the ones with the interchangeable end caps. Slightly louder, but deeper in sound. No other modifications done. I have ordered the Xied enrichment device just to cool it down a bit. Have no plans to make any othe changes except adding more chrome. I am happy with the preformence, I always ride two up and just cruise. Hope this helps.

Maybe they're perfect for what he's looking for? If you're looking for big drag pipe sound, well, then...they probably suck.

Call me crazy, but I am pretty sure PWFD wasn't looking to blow anybody's doors off with his pipes.

But if you think they suck based on what he's looking for, tell the man why. Be a little helpful at least.
