I just did my 07 vivid black flhx inner. The white gauges look very nice on the black. The job isnt bad with a painted to sawp everything over into. I would HIGHLY recomend that you get a replacement and then just swap everything over right away. As said before 3-5 hr job at most. The only problem with the fairing I had to replace my inner was that the flhx gauges where still loose when the nuts bottomed out. I had to go get gasket material and made retainers to add a gap. Itd fun but have another set of hands. The hardest part I found was getting the cable loose to go through the inner. Even that wasent so bad I will post pictures asap.

I just installed a color matched inner a couple of months ago on my 05 Black Cherry glide. I just wrecked the bike last week and now have to do it again. I've had a few people tell me they think the gloss black would look good with the Black Cherry outer. Comments welcome and appreciated.

Thanks,
Rick

Nope, love the way it looks now. No issues at all.

I want to do mine in Gloss black. How much of a pain is it to change it out?

If you have the service manual it will walk you through it step by step. A couple hours to get it off and depending on what else you do the same or a bit more putting it back on. Great way to get to know your scoot too
