Default New Plate Mount on an Ultra Classic

I've been wanting to move my plate for a while, and I finally did it last night. I grabbed a piece of scrap sheet metal that was a good thickness from were I worked, brought it home and started working on it. Actually it was pretty easy, and was done the cutting and shapping in about an hour. Then I had to paint it and let it dry overnight. I just got done mounting it up this morning.

Now I just need to grab some LED plate bolt lights on Ebay for $25, and pick up a cheap chrome license plate frame, and it will be all finished up for about $35 in parts and about 2 hours of work.

Still need to figure out how to dress up the stock plate mount/tourpac support. I took that bracket off also, trimmed it down on the bottom to clean it up a bit, and now I'm thinking the HD skull medallion that is like 3"x4" in size, and some chrome bolt covers for the mounting bolts.

That's a nice way to fill in the space left by a 2into1.[sm=smiley20.gif]

I'd like to.........extra cash would come in very handy for sure.

I like how it looks, and it will definitely be different from all the other bikes around my area.

I like it alot, I saw a bunch of people checking it out today at the HD dealer we stopped at on a ride. It's not something you see on a bagger............so it grabs attention.

I've thought of doing something like that too, but they use red-light cameras & photo radarhere and with the plate buried under the tour pak, they can't get a picture of my plate!!!!! HA!

Curious why you wanted to move your plate inthe first place.

To cover up the "hole" left by going to a 2 into 1 exhause I would guess.

I have seen that plate mount before, but it's not really down under the tourpak like I wanted.
