ORIGINAL: 1potter1

has anyone talked to the MOCO 414-343-4887 about a recall?

I did! They said the '06 injectors have been redesigned and are definitly different from previous years. They said they changed them to meet emission standards.

I would understand if it was just an injector replacement on the stock map, but there's a new map being flashed as well. If the stock injectors were OK, then why not just tell us to go to the dealer for a free ECM update?

Anytime you make changes to air or fuel flow you need to remap.

I will say this I just went through all of this with my bike. I never pounded on the desk or threatened them about the injectors. I simply mentioned that I had these problems and heard about a bulliten that was out that should correct my problems. My bike shut down sitting in light traffic and would shut off on the first ride of the day or sputter you had to feather the clutch to keep her running. I made them aware of the bulliten I saw and asked them to check it out. I got a new crank sensor and a new air intake valve and a new engine heat senser 3 different ECM's and a set of 25degree injectors with the correct download after 26 days of it being in the shop. and my asking several times to have the injectors replaced. Final cure was the original ECM put back and the correct 25 degree download and so far knock on wood she is running great. I said all this to say, If the 25 degree injectors and the correct download had been done the first time all of this other stuff wouldn't have had to be done. I think sometimes the fix is simple and some look too hard for it.
