Default Shorty Antennae for Ultra Classic

Hey Guys,
Do the shorty antennae for the Ultra Classic work well. I have to bend my current antennae down every time I put my bike in the garage. It's starting to be a pain. Does your CB and radio work just as well as with the stock antennae? If so, which brand would you recommend. This forum is great. I always appreciate the info I get on here. Ride safe but ride as often as you can! Crazier Steve

I went to Kragen and got a standard rubber replacement shorty antenna for mine. No difference in reception at all. Don't have the CB though, so I can't help you there.

Got the J&M shorties, work very well - radio & CB. Only problem I run into is that the screws keep stripping out as I remove them every winter since I cover the bike. (The holes, not the screws). When I first bought them one of the screws would not even screw in but J&M sent me a replacement right away. Guess I will have to try a slightly larger screw if I want them to hold from now on. This is the only irritant for me as they do work very well!

I have the J&M ones too. Work great on the am/fm. I do not use the cb so can't comment on that.

J&M - work equally well on the radio and CB.

I had a set of cheap rubber shorties they worked fine for the AM/FM, but the CB lacked range, I just picked up a set of J&M from Eastern's today. They seem to work real well.

Yep, got mine at Auto Zone (5 bucks)and they work fine for both Radio and CB?Intercom. Put a little blue locktight though as they will rattle off.
