RE: Who hates wiping down the chrome?
If you haven't done a complete wash job and just want to clean up the chrome.....I've found that Windex on a paper towel does an AWESOME JOB at not only removing bugs from your chrome and it USUALLY doesn't leave streaks. I wipe it down every time I come back home....so my bike is usually almost spotless!

RE: Who hates wiping down the chrome?
A friend of mine got me started on detailing my bike, and he used his air compressor to blow the water off my bike after washing it.
I just thought about it.. I have a old leaf blower in the shed.. it's an electric one, but still works. I stopped using it in the yard because I was just blowing sand.... Hmmmmmm

Actually, I find it rather therapeutic. I do use a leaf blower though when washing with water. Also to knock the dust and pollin off occassionally when a full wash is not necessarily. My bike is very rarely less than spotless.
