Default 12 volt power source

Good Morning,
I have a 2008 FLHX and would like to find a source of 12 volt power under the fairing for a hidden powered antenna. I need to keep the cigarette lighter to power my GPS, any other choices ?
Thanks,
capt42a

If your bike is like my Road King Classic, it will have a wire with a rubber plug on the end hanging loosely behind the headlight. It is for a fender tip light, which neither of our bikes have. It is hot with the ignition on only and would be a great source.

That's what I used in my RG fairing. Added a spade connector to the antenna 12V lead and plugged it in.

I had an extra power wire inside my fairing also, and I have a fender tip light, I think it had a red rubber cap on it.

xxxflhrci, Beemervet, and FLHT,
Thanks for the reply's I'll look for a wire with a rubber boot behind the headlight.

There is a ground wire in there too, at least on mine there was.
