Default Wicked sounding RG with Big City Thunder baffles!! with Video

Got my Big City Thunder Baffles today and installed them, pretty straight forward install. I opted to take the stock Rhinehart baffles out and just use the BCT baffles by themselves, wow what a difference in sound!! They are definately louder than the stock RH baffles, and is now a more deeper (almost muscle car) sound and even at idle it sounds mean. With the 113" the are pretty loud when you crack it open and that is what I wantedbutwhen justcruising they are just right in my opinion. Will try to get some video tomorrow for a sample of the sound. Thanks for the review drrandall, that is what finally made me decide to get them, also Big City Thunder is a really good company to deal with.[sm=happy046.gif]
These are the baffles and the Rhinehart adapter that is needed for their pipes.

They install flush with the end of the head pipes.

This is the 1/4" hole that you have to drill into the bottom of thehead pipe that holds the adapter and baffle in place

This is with the adapter and the baffle installed, just have to put the mufflers back on and all finished.

Glad that you're happy with them, I've been wondering what all the Hoopla was about... better mousetrap etc. This is something that's been around for years, the old "bolt & washer" trick, costs about a buck and a half. Nightrider gives an excellent explaination along with some dyno charts

Gets you the 'loud' back for sure and with that 113 I doubt if you'll even notice much of a dip in the tq!

Yah I thought about building my own for it but I figured for the little bit of cost it saved a lot of hassle to just buy them. They sure have a nice deep angry growl to them now though!!

Exactly, that what I said, and in my opinion it was worth it for the sound they produce.

Guys, I have heard both sound clips and have some questions. Do they sound hollow at all when you crack the throttle or under a full pull? How much louder are they than the standard baffels? ( 10% , 20% etc.) Have you noticed any dip or loss of torque or top end (seat of the pants)? And do you have any reversion back thru the pipe or hard decel? I am very interested but don't want to screw up what I have now. Thanks
