Anyone have the Road Sofa seat from eglidegoodies? Wondering how it is. Thanks.

 

I don't have one, but was able to spend the day on one thanks to the Saddlemen rep. I thought it was an outstanding seat. Excellent lower back support and a very useful backrest. THe passenger loved it too. If I was looking for a 2-up touring seat, that would be my first choice.

 

I bought a used one from a friend that came off his 06 Road King. He said it was higher and harder than hewas used too. No Puns Here's Boy's. Being a Tall Hard Azz I said no Problem.I put it on my Road Glide and loved it....for about three months. Now it seems to aggrevation the inside of my upper thighs. I may end up either (a) taking some foam off the edges,(b) buildingup the foam on the edges, or (c) Selling it. Gotta get some advice from a seat builder on which way to go.
BTW I did have to add a console extender.

Yes, it is their largest touring seat. I have the Explorer II which is 1 size below. I like it but wish I had gotten the bigger Road Sofa.

 

I have one on my '01 Ultra. It has the gel and seat heater. Very comfortable.

 

I rode a friends RK with one on it. I'm 6'4" tall and about 235 lbs and it pushed me too far forward. I felt like I was sitting on top of the gas tank. It was vey comfortable to sit on, it just put me in an odd riding position. Would probably be great for someone shorter than me.

 

I tried really hard to get one for my SG, but no one had it. Eventually, I was told it was no longer available for my bike. Don't really know why. I haven't looked any more lately.
