I bought #2 today! We have a ton of vivid black ones around milwaukee. They cant give that color away. They even have used ones in that color, and they sit for a few weeks too. The colors are gone before they hit the floor. My dealership just took a pewter denium in on trade while I was there. I my have changed my mind if I hadent have signed the papers 2 weeks ago!

Any time you want a certain bike or color just find a good dealer that will look them up on their computer. My local guy said "I don't know who would have one....." Got a silver one for ya tho.
The next weekend I was in Dubuque IA and stopped in, talked to dealer and told him my story. He did not have one either.......But, walked me over to his computer to SHOW ME the dealers that did. Needles to say they ended up getting about $300 of my money for shirts and glasses that day.

Street Glides are THE most popular Harley, hands down. And it is for good reason.
1. Baby Boomer make up the majority of the Harley Buying Crowd.
2. Most Baby Boomers are 50+.
3. Street Glides apeal to that crowd because older guys love batwing fairings and with the street glide you get "a little" more of a sporty look than on a standard batwing tourer.
Yes, yes, I'm well aware that there are younger guys on street glides too. Don't need to tell me.
Still think I'm wrong?? Why weren't all of you street glide guys who are in your 40's, 50's, or 60's buying Harleys with batwing fairings15 years ago??? You could have taken those bikes and made them into "street glides" yourself very easily (all Harley does is take things off of the standard and add a few sporty parts). But you didn't. You were riding Fatboys and Dynas andSpringers15 years ago. Because those are the types of bikes that appeal to the majority of younger guys.
Now that you're older, you want a fairing. Theres nothing wrong with that. Nothing at all. But that is the reason for the huge following that this model has.
Harley does a lot of marketing research, obviously. Some really smart person at the company thought,
"Hmmmm these baby boomers now want a tourer, but the regular Harley touring bikes look to (old manish). Let's take one, cut the windshield, remove the running lights, add a sporty seat, and give a new cool name. That way the older crowd can move into a dresser and not feel like they've given up their sportiness too much. Maybe they won't realize that they are paying more for a bike that costs us less to make since we actually take parts off of the Standard and then charge more!!!!"
