Mustang solo vs. Stock 2up seat
Considering purchasing a Mustang solo seat. I was using Sundowner solo seat but it was pushing me too far forward causing wear and tear on my ***. Switched back to the stock 2 up seat for now. Much better. Will Mustang solo seat push me forward again like the Sundowner?. Or same as stock 2 up location? I like the solo look but want better comfort that stock seat offers.-'04 FLTR- Thank You.

RE: Mustang solo vs. Stock 2up seat
I have the Mustang 79100 with backrest on my 2006 Street Glide{same frame as Road King, but diff. handlebars} and I love it..It sets me back just a bit and lower, IMO. I am 6' tall.VERY comfy seat, Whatever seat you go to you'll probably need diff. bars for comfort.
I have done many 300-500 mile days and and don't have any complaints. It has just the right cush in the tush for the long haul. My wife rode it and now we have to have her Mustang seat on her Fatboy redone, as her seat is MUCH firmer than mine....I'll probably hear it for that statement!!!!!!!!! BRADD

I'm 6'4" with a 35" inseam, the stock seat is not comfortable for me.
I bought a Mustang solo for my 2004 electra glide and it now sits on my 2007 Ultra.I like it alot.
The Mustang gives me more leg room. Itsits me further back and lower than the stock seat.

This may help you. Its for Street Glide seats, but I think the info would be pretty much the same. You can compare the Sundowner to the Mustang Solo:

For what its worth, I feel that I sit back a bit further on the Mustang, despite the measurements shown on that webpage, because the Mustang does not "cup" your butt as much as the Sundowner, and thus lets you slide back a little further.
