Default No More Rear Brake Squeal!

After embarrassing myself enough times at stop signs and intersections with teeth grinding brake squeals, I finally broke down and ordered the Lyndall pads for the rear brake on my 08 Ultra. This has been happening for almost 4,000 miles now. I kept my fingers crossed hoping they'd solve the problem. My mechanic called a few hours after I dropped it off to tell me I shouldn't change the pads cuz the OEM pads were brand new and thicker than the Lyndall pads I was asking him to put on. I told him to please just do it.

Picked it up a few hours later and put on 70 quick miles. Not a single squeal. It's been a week now with no screeching brakes and I'm a happy camper. Just thought I'd share that.

One more note: I recently bought a second 08 Ultra for my wife (she's triking it out in June) and the rear brake has squealed from the first to the last of the 634 miles I've put on her so far.

Now get back on the phone and order 2 more sets and do the front.. you'll never know to ya. try..Lyndall pads are far superior to OEM it's a no brainer..we all spend money to go fast but you eventually need to stop. Steve

Exactly. I thought I did order them for the front, but apparently didn't. That's next.
