Default rush slip-ons for my RK Classic

I just ordered a set of Rush slip-ons with the 2" baffles. This is the first mod on my 08 RK Classic and i'm wondering - if i went with bigger baffles would i have to buy a fuel management system (PCIII, fuelpack, etc)?

You can add the Rush regardless of baffle size without adding fuel management, you aren't adding air, just allowing more out if it was there. Same goes for a new breather element without an exhaust change, you could get more air in, but nowhere to let it out. Now, when you do both, lean, lean, lean, gotta control it. As far as baffle size, 2" is good, 2.25" will work, I wouldn't go any bigger unless you do some impressive mods. If you're just going to add the exhaust and no air cleaner, I would recommend looking at NightRider IED.

Flea, If you have a digital camera, feel free to take a mini movie of the bike (running of course) so we can hear the pipes and post it on You Tube and share the link with your fellow baggers! I put Rush 2-1/4s" on the GF's Nightster and they sound way better than my Pythons (IMO). Thinking of Rush for my bike now....

Must be a difference from 07 to 08. Literature from V/H says 2" baffles are the limit.

2" is the limit if you are not doing any type of fuel management and don't **** your money away on aftermarket devices. Most that do end up with the SERT.

Sweet, I called up Rush and talked to them about the configuration I wanted to run, Rush slip ons, FuelPak and Big Sucker. They told me I didn't want to go any bigger than 2.25" and make sure I had the right V&H map for the fuel. Then I called V&H with the same question and what they told me was, "You're going to be very happy with that setup". Ok, I'm real happy! Talked to them again a couple days ago about the XIEDs with my setup and mentioned just a slight, I call it gurgle, not even a pop once in a while on deceleration. They gave me the fix, one mode up a little bit, now I'm even happier,purrrrrrrrssssssss...............
