HERE IS THE DISH ON THE OIL COOLERS

1- THERMOSTAT IS JUST A WASTE OF MONEY,ANOTHER WAY FOR THEM TO TRY TO MAKE YOU SPEND EXTRA MONEY. YOU OPERATING OIL TEMP IS BROUGHT UP OVER 185 WITHIN 2 MIN OF STARTING THE ENGINE. SO THAT MEANS NO MATTER WHAT, THE OIL WILL ALWAYS BE GOING THROUGH THE COOLER

2- DONT BUY THE JAGG UNTIL SEPT WHEN THE NEW AND IMPROVED KIT IS OUT WHICH HAS BRAIDED LINES EITHER STEEL FOR THE CHROME GUYS OR CARBON FIBER FOR THE BLACKED OUT BIKES. THE NEW HOSES WILL HAVE THREADED RACE CAR STYLE FITTINGS ON BOTH ENDS OF THE HOSES INSTEAD OF THOSE CRAPPY HOSE CLAMPS

3- THE JAGG AND HD COOLER ARE THE SAME COOLER BUT THE JAGG COOLER OFFERS A 10 ROW.HOWEVER IT ONLY REDUCES THE OIL TEMP 1-2 DEGREES MORE THAN THE SMALLER COOLERS.

MY VOTE IS H-D OVER JAGG

THANKS

I've never seen oil in a Harley rise to 185° in 20 min., much less 2 min., even with a closed thermostat and 90° air temps. Thermostats are needed to ramp up oil temp as soon as possible, as keeping oil cold affects mileage, performance, and longevity by forcing the engine to warm-up more slowly. The heads may heat up to 185° in 2 min., but not the oil in the pan.

Not true. Jagg hasn't made HD coolers for several years.

I bought the deluxe harley oil cooler. It does make changing the oil filter a little tight but i can tell its working because the oil lines get hot
