I make my wife run and jump on after I get it rolling. Actually she rides her own now. When she rode with me she always got on first and off last. Always with the jiffy stand down.

 

I could never feel comfortable sitting on the bike with jiffy stand down, that's why I went with the center stand, now the Mrs. and I can both sit comfortable and take in the sights while on the bike when stopped.
