Default Painting Gilbo's Ipod Holder

I read people on here wanting to chrome or powdercoat Gilbo's Ipod Holder and I was in the same boat. However, I decided to just paint it Black and see what it looked like. I went to Wallyworld and got a can of self-etching spray primer and a can of Krylon Satin Black. I put three coats of primer on and three coats of Satin Black giving 30 minutes between coats. After the last coat of black was dry to the touch, I laid them in a cake pan and put in oven on warm for one hour to bakethe coatings. I have to say it turned out very good and is almost a perfect match to the facory clutch perch that is alsoSatin Black.

Just another option in case you don't want to chrome or powdercoat and you have about $8.00 invested.

I went to Radio Shack and got a 3 foot Ipod cable and also bought two 90 degree angled ends that plug onto the end of the cable. They didn't have the cables with the 90 degree ends already made up so I went this route. About $13.00 for both ends and the cable.
