I'll tell you what fatigued me. Sitting on top of my Road Glide and leaning forward and down to reach the bars. I put a seat on that lowered me 11/4" and set me further back 1". 13" apes and now I can put 600 miles a day on easily!
Is that a C&C seat?

The apes are absolutely comfy. The stock bars hurt my back and the 16's are very natural. My hands are shoulder height or just below and I would agree that higher could get uncomfortable on a long ride. 300+ miles is not an issue.

Can you lengthen the brake line on an 08 abs bike? Want to move to the ape side

I have 14" apes on my RG and did a 1200 mile weekend a couple weeks ago. It was night/day difference in comfort for me. I love mine.

I have Wild 1's 513's on my 08 RG. I'm kinda happy with them, but feel at 35 or so inches, they are too wide for me. I also wanted a bit more rise in the bars. I thought about 515's, but they are definitely too wide. Maybe Wild 1's RG bars at 31 inches wide, would fit the bill. Handlebars are a bitch too get right.... Thank God for Ebay.

I have 13" Cyclesmiths....awesome...makes long rides easier. The increased height has no effect wind buffeting to your hands.
