Go for an Ultra, the lowers are worth it in cold weather or rain. If you don't believe it, try to buy a pair off ebay...like gold. The cruise is nice if you do interstate riding. the rear speakers nice and the intercom better than shouting to be heard, especially when she wants to stop to whizz ( went another 30 miles one day before she pinched a handful ofside and emphasised her point).

Ride safe

No wife or girlfriend at the time. Do most of my rides without others. I opted for the Classic just to save a little bit of coin. Taking the Tourpack off around town gives it a whole new look.

If I had wife/gf that wanted to ride, I probably would have went with the UC.

I bought the Classic new in July 07. Ultra was $ 2500-$3000 more. I didn't care about the CB or intercom. The lower fairings don't let any air to the engine, the 2 speakers sound great and my passengers can hear them fine. Who cares about saddle bag and tour pack liners, cruise control would be nice....throttle lock it is cheaper. Just remember you'll be spending more $$ to dress up your Ultra.

For a couple of thousand dollars more you get it all. After a few months you might want some of the things the Ultra has and it will more expensive to try and add.

I bought the Classic with cruise control, the only other thing the Ultra had that I liked was the rear speakers. I may or may not add them some day.

I have the Classic. I did add the rear speaker pods, amp, soft lowers (whick come off in 2 seconds).

I would probably never use the CB / Intercomm / or Cruise.

I bought the Classic because I like the looks of the Tour-pak better, the decal on the tank, and the paint scheme on the fairing. Then I made it an Ultra.

Ultra, Ultra, Ultra

Had to bribe the wife to ride w/me on the Fat Boy. Now she actually enjoys a nice trip on my Ultra with rear speakers, MP3 tunes and comfy seat. FYI - Still have the Fat Boy, though nowset-up for strictly solo ... Sweet !!
