Default 08 Throttle Response

I'm picking up my new Ultra in a few days and am curious as to whether or not anyone has experienced the rumoured slow throttle response. I figure a lot of you have had your new FBW equipped bikes for a while now so how about some feedback. The mechanic at my dealership says "it's definitely different". Exactly what he meant by that I'm not sure. I'm coming off an 07 SG and wonder how much of a difference there will be in this area.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

I can't tell any difference of any kind in my throttle response from any other bike I have ever owned or rode.
It is "different" mechanically, but I see no difference in how it feels or responds.

I can tell you the fly by wire definitely has a slight delay to the response.

OK, I'm a convert. After owning nearly a dozen bikes, I picked up my first HD this year. And I too experienced slow throttle response. A month later, I put on Rineharts, X Tuner and SE Intake. What a difference! Its worth every penny. I now get 90 lbs of Torque at 77 HP and excellent throttle response.

Enjoy the summer!

For normal riding and getting out and going I don't feel any difference, but when down shifting and coming to a stoplight I always used to blip my throttle before letting out the clutch with each gear going down....I notice the blip is just a hair slower to come on my 08 Ultra.

Slightly noticable when motor was stock, with mild build(100/107), completely non existant!

Maybe I'm just "slow" like my throttle, but I don't notice any delay.
