there is no aft mount plate. there are 2 bolts that hold the console down, one at the top near the ignition switch and one at the bottom. remove the bottom bolt and try pushing the console forward which should push the top bolt off it's mooring in the top plate. you should only need to push the console about an inch to free the top bolt.
if that doesn't work, I would try the nut splitter.
