I haven't really considered taking them off. How much trouble is it? I noticed HD sells a "quick release" kit for the lowers. Is it worth the money?

Yeah H-D has a quick release kit, but that could make them easy removal for theft.

Excellent point! I don't think I'll put those on.

Excellent point! I don't think I'll put those on.

I installed mine with the detachable kit, but should've saved my money on it. I don't think I'll be removing the lowers in summer.

I run mine all year and it gets pretty hot here in the SW New Mexico desert. No problems yet!
