Well now that I have put on about 400 miles I have had a chance to play with my Platinum Air Ride and in my opinion it is worth every penny thus far. There is quite a bit of range that you can play with and can set it to your prefernce pretty easily having the two separate switches (one for height and the other for rebound), not too mention that it looks pretty wicked when you slam it right down. The one bad thing, and I have seen other guys complain about it, is the install instructions or shall I say lack there of. I ended up just throwing them away and doing it myself because they confuse a guy more than anything, I have installed several air bags on trucks and it is kind of the same principle. This is just my opinion, but if you are thinking about putting in a air ride system and don't mind spending the money, I highly recommend the Platinum system.

How much lower than stock ride height will they drop?

 

I wish that I would have measured before and after but I am thinking at least 2" and maybe close to 3". I have a buddy that has the same bike and next time he is over I am going to measure both of them and see.
